- About Us
The Board of Governors is responsible for overseeing the University's activities, determining its future direction, ensuring its solvency and the effective use of its resources.
The Board takes the final decisions on all matters of fundamental concern to the University, as well as having ultimate responsibility for ensuring that it complies with all its legal and regulatory obligations.
The majority of Governors have successful careers in industry or commerce, the public or voluntary sectors. See their individual profiles for more details.
Some Governors have a background in education, and there are three staff and two student Governors.
The Vice Chancellor is also a member of the Governing Body, as Chief Executive.
The Board has adopted a statement of primary responsibilities.
