"I am now working part-time at the University of Luton in the External Affairs department."
Saara likes Luton so much she hasn’t wanted to leave. Since graduating in 2001, the 28-year-old has been looking for jobs linked to her degree – and in the meantime has been working at the university.
She explained: “I am still looking for a job linked to my degree, it’s just a case of getting that first step in.
“The main problem that I find is that the starting wages are quite low and I know that I could not survive on them especially with having to pay tax now.
“Basically I like Luton and I’m not quite ready to leave just yet. It is interesting working with the university because you see what goes on behind the scenes. Also, I can still get my hands on the new editing systems because I keep in touch with my lecturers.”
Interview took place in 2003.
