“Now I have a wonderful career in Greece, I teach English as a foreign language to Greek students and I always tell them stories from Luton.”

I studied Contemporary English Language Studies (1999-2002), but my MA in Applied Linguistics (2002-2003) gave me more job opportunities when I came back to Greece. Now, after 6 years, I have a career as an English teacher in my small town, Arta, in Greece. I work in a private English school. I prepare my students to take their certificate in English. Moreover I work for the "Edexcel" International Organization (London Exams) as an oral examiner and assessor.

Looking back I really benefited from my studies at Luton, and I would like to thank all my teachers for their help and support. Luton gave me the opportunity to experience the English culture, to learn more about the English way of life and of course to transfer this experience to my studies today. It gave me a new lease of life and I’d recommend it to anyone.

One of my fondest memories of the University is its multicultural environment. I made friends with many people from all over the world, with whom I am still in contact.
