“I am the Course Team Leader for the BTEC Diploma in Media Studies at Barnfield College, Luton.”

The Welshman with the French surname, came to Luton via clearing. At the time, he didn’t know a great deal about the town, apart from its football team.

Nick was a bit of a celebrity here at Luton. He was well known for his DJ work at the Student Union Bar which spanned over seven years, he made many new friends who he still keeps in contact with.

Nick was resident DJ for the Student Union for seven years before moving on as DJ for the British Forces Radio Network. He also worked at his local radio station in Essex, 1017FM.

Nick DJd at the University’s reunion on Saturday 24 June as his last public appearance - and has finally hung up his headphones for good.

“The University of Luton’s Media course was excellent.” He said. “It was very varied, and had knowledgeable tutors with good media facilities. My Media degree helped me secure my current role.”

Nick took his first teaching job at Brentside High School in Ealing, London, and is now at Barnfield College. Nick’s hobbies are photography and writing. He has written two film scripts which he would like to make into films, one day. Nick also sells his own photography.
