“Carnival will always be my passion,” says Kavellle at the conclusion of her alumni profile interview, “it’s in the blood.”

Kavelle, former BA Child and Adolescent Studies student, is the Arts Development Officer for the newly constructed UK Centre for Carnival Arts in Luton. After Laura finished her degree she got some work experience with London News Network on the London Tonight programme. Media graduate Deborah Underdown has swapped the glamour of the world of TV for a career reporting the reality of international conflicts. As press officer for the aid agency CARE International Deborah has experienced first hand the aftermath of two of the world’s deadliest war zones.
