Mary Sahyoun: BSc Hons Pharmacology and Immunology, 2003

"I am now training at one of the UK’s top teaching hospitals to be a radiographer."
Mary loved the pathology module in her degree at Luton so much that it inspired her to study radiotherapy, the treatment of cancers and tumours with radiation.

Adamu Sambo: MSc Marketing Management, 2002

“I am a Logistics Administrator with an international humanitarian organisation in Nigeria.”

Kavelle Savary: BA Hons Child and Adolescent Studies – 2007

“Carnival will always be my passion,” says Kavellle at the conclusion of her alumni profile interview, “it’s in the blood.”
Kavelle, former BA Child and Adolescent Studies student, is
the Arts Development Officer for the newly constructed UK Centre for Carnival
Arts in Luton. And although she came to the UK looking to develop a career in interior
design, the fact that she comes from Trinidad,

Katy Scrivener: BA Hons Media Performance with Scriptwriting, 2003

“I am Programme Administrator for Vertex at Westminster City Hall.”
Katy studied Media Performance with Scriptwriting at the University of Luton and graduated in 2003 with a 2:1. The course gave Katy a more positive outlook on life. Laura Stevens: BA Hons Media Production with Video Production, 2003

“I am a freelance researcher working mainly for Granada Television.”
After Laura finished her degree she got some work experience with London News Network on the London Tonight programme. Then in October 2003 she became a runner at the London Studios, looking after the editors and running for studio shows such as Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, the Lenny Henry Show, and ITV Sport, Disco Mania. read more about Laura Stevens

Jonathan is currently working as the Business Development Manager for Illuminat Jamaica an arm of Neal and Massy, the largest Group of Company’s in the Caribbean.

Paula came to Luton as a mature student, having already had a successful career as a chef. For her, the university was a recipe for a complete career change. Deborah Underdown: BA Hons Media Production, 2004
Media graduate Deborah Underdown has swapped the glamour of the world of TV for a career reporting the reality of international conflicts. As press officer for the aid agency CARE International Deborah has experienced first hand the aftermath of two of the world’s deadliest war zones.
Motivated by a desire to
help people and find out about different cultures she has visited both Rwanda and Gaza
