“I am the Head of Marketing for a company called Berghaus in Newcastle. They are the leading suppliers of top-quality outdoor and mountaineering gear in the UK . I have been working with the company for ten months since moving from London to be with my boyfriend.

“I came to Luton via Clearing and had a great time. The course has served me well and has definitely benefited me greatly in my career progression”.

Sarah’s first job was in advertising sales for a publishing group. After a few years she was promoted to advertising manager and ran her own sales department. She then chose to move to an advertising agency where she worked with clients such as Mecca Bingo, Cadbury and Kraft foods. Sarah worked for another agency in London before moving client side and working for the Rank Group as a brand manager responsible for Hard Rock and Grosvenor Casinos. After four years Sarah moved to Newcastle and her present dream job.

Some of Sarah’s fondest memories of Luton are of when she worked behind the Student Union bar and socialised with her friends.

“My hopes for the future are to live happily, enjoy work, embrace challenges and to always feel that I have something to contribute. I would also love to travel the world”.
