The University wireless network does not have encryption.
Users should not send sensitive information across the wireless network unless they are sure the web site is secure (e.g. a website using SSL will show a padlock icon in the bottom right corner of the browser window).
Use of the UoB Wireless Network is at your own risk.
Anything you can usually access via a standard web browser should work as normal via the wireless network. Other software using the network, may not work.
Students and Staff connect to their appropriate wireless network:
Guests can request a temporary Guest account from key Reception desks around the University, and then connect to:
To connect, run a web browser and login with your University username and password or Guest ID and password.
Support is only available for University supplied hardware/software.
