Summary
The MSc in Business Information Systems provides a balance between computing and business subjects. This is ideal for applicants who would like to gain a variety of skills, and who may wish to work with in a business/IT capacity.
The programme is designed to equip students with a comprehensive and in-depth sets of skills and knowledge at Master's level, enabling them to make the transition from study into employment.
The programme will equip students with the ability to critically evaluate data and information related to business operations, and at the end of the programme students should have the ability to operate within a strategic (business) capacity.

Teaching/learning methods and strategies
The MSc in Business Information Systems uses a number of teaching and learning strategies. Strategies used include: lectures, practicals, seminars, group work, discussion boards, individual and group-based assignments etc.
Assessment
Coursework assignments, exams, group work and Computer Assisted Assessments.
Dissertation/project and research
In order to successfully complete an MSc. in Business Information Systems you will be required to undertake a dissertation. The exact topic that covered will be successfully negotiated between the student and their supervisor. In full time mode you will be expected to undertake your dissertation in the 3rd semester of study. For part-time students the dissertation will be undertaken over a full academic year.

Standard entry requirements apply for this course.
Special entry requirements
For international students, evidence of sufficient skill in English is required, with a minimum requirement being an IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 580, or an equivalent score in TELAS, the University of Bedfordshire's own English language testing scheme.
Attendance
Full time students will study four modules per semester, with the possibility of some modules running in the daytime, and others running in the evening, usually from 6.30pm.
