Summary
This is a programme designed for nurses who have qualified outside of the UK.
The BSc Nursing Studies seeks to build on your previous experiences, knowledge and skills as a nurse. The focus is on health, health care and nursing developments in the UK.
This is an academic programme and does not include clinical practice, although some observational visits may be arranged.
The programme is designed to enhance knowledge of nursing research and the skills involved in the process of research.
New ways of learning will be introduced and sustained throughout the programme, including enquiry based learning strategies.
A key outcome is that students will be able to make a significant contribution to the development of nursing in their country of origin and if they wish to apply for further training within the National Health Service (NHS) including seeking registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
But please note that adaptation to the professional register is not currently part of this programme.
