Teaching/learning methods and strategies
The lessons are based on input from a course book (we will let you know which course book to buy when the course begins.)
However, the teacher will also make use of other materials as appropriate, including magazine and newspaper articles etc.
The lessons are highly communicative, which means that you will often work on activities and exercises in pairs or small groups.
Assessment
Evening courses include a mid-point and end-point exam, and continuous assessment which includes assessed pieces of written work based on typical exam tasks.
Entry requirements
Entry requirements vary according to the type and level of course you want to study. You will be able to take a short placement test or the longer University diagnostic language placement test (TELAS) to ensure you are choosing the most suitable course for your needs.
Please note that we have no 'Beginners' or 'Elementary' EFL courses and that all levels are subject to demand.
