English Profile Can Do project

English Profile Can Do project

Illustrative scales for the Common European Framework for Languages often lack statements for the (highest) C levels: C1 and C2 are often defined by ‘As B2’ or 'As C1'. 

As part of our work contributing to the English Profile, we have been working on a set of Can Do statements for the English Profile to help fill this gap. We invited educators to judge the difficulty of our new descriptors and give their comments in a web survey.

Summary of survey results

We would very much like to thank all those who responded to the survey: we have had over 630 responses so far. A full report on the project will come later, but a summary of results received to date can be downloaded here - PDF 540.2 KB .
