Linda Hamilton
Profile
Linda gained her first degree in Biology in 1981 and then went into industry where she specialised in the implementation of computer-based accounting systems. She worked for a number of organisations, large and small, before deciding to go it alone by becoming self-employed in 1990.
In 2003 the opportunity arose to study for an MSc in Internet Technologies at the University of Luton. Having gained a distinction the following summer, Linda was offered a part-time position as a Training Consultant on a European Social Fund (ESF) scheme for local businesses. This contract ran for 18 months, until the end of 2005, after which time Linda re-entered the world of self-employment where she was able to apply her newly-acquired skills. In the spring of 2009 she returned to the University of Bedfordshire as a Visiting Lecturer, working across a broad spectrum from Extended Degree to MSc level.
Interests
Outside of work, Linda’s main interests are tennis, reading and solving crossword puzzles.
