The events are focused around the work of the Centre. These may be related to its expertise in particular research methodologies or focus on the topic areas of current research projects.
An important element of the work of the Centre is its aim to support the development of research capacity in social work and social care across the United Kingdom.
Another important element of its work is to establish, and disseminate, an evidence base relating to social work and social care practice. In particular the TGC’s work focuses on what social care professionals do in practice and whether or not what they do ‘works’.
