This unit is designed to enable you to effectively manage the allocation and assessment of the work required for you and your team to meet organisational targets. This will include developing and managing performance within your team.
As part of developing personnel performance you will be required to consider your role in planning to meet the human resource requirements of your team.
This unit prepares students for more responsibility within their role.
The learning experience consists of five classroom contact sessions. During these sessions there will be lecturer-led discussions and small group activities. Learning will also occur through self-directed study.
The University’s online learning tool, BREO (Bedfordshire Resources for Education On-line), will be available to students studying this module. This will provide links to other online learning sources and materials.
The unit is assessed through two written assignments, including a portfolio of evidence demonstrating development of the student’s performance management skills.
