Thesis

"Effects of the new regulations of the audit profession on the audit firms' strategies" supervised by Professor Magdy Abdel-Kader

Abstract

My thesis aims to explore and explain the changes made in the audit firms' strategies after the new regulations of the audit profession; I focus on strategies toward stakeholders: clients, employees, competitors and governance structure.

Grounded theory will be applied as the research methodology, Straus and Corbin approach will be more relevant to my research.

Data will be collected though conducting interviews with audit partners in the big four firms and some of the audit regulators in the UK, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Nvivo® software will be used to analyse the qualitative data (interviews).
