Professor David Eales has mainly been working for two
companies: Coats Patons (UK) Ltd (seven years) and NatWest / Royal Bank of Scotland (34
years).
His experience in leadership of teams, of various sizes,
some with a large geographic spread, has honed his skills for focused
management.
Prof Eales has been on many internal as well as external training courses during his time at the bank, but nothing prepares you for making decisions and developing strategy in the front line when results are paramount and urgent. His reading and research has always given him a foundation on which to develop solutions in the commercial environment.
Prof Eales’ transition to University of Bedfordshire is therefore, a personal ambition to translate his experience and training into the development of postgraduate students as they approach the commercial world with particular focus on leadership, financial planning, financial strategy, sales and performance management.
