Russell Kinman is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. His teaching interests range over financial accounting, cost accounting, financial management, systems analysis and design, research methods and general management.
Apart from “sabbatical” years in a Canadian University, and with the Higher Education Funding Council for England, Russell has worked for the University of Bedfordshire and its predecessors for much of his career, including a number of years as a middle manager in the Business School.
Recently he has returned to teaching as a more rewarding and enjoyable way to spend the latter years of his working life. For many years he has also worked (on a part-time basis) for the Quality Assurance Agency, visiting other universities and colleges as a subject specialist assessor.
As have most academics, he has worked in various roles in support of other universities, including quality assurance consultant, external examiner and validation panellist. He also has experience of management training and consultancy in a number of local organisations.
