Dr Rasaratnam joined University of Bedfordshire as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting, having previously lectured in both Irish and UK universities. She had taught wide range of subjects including Accounting, Finance and Information Technology.

Dr Rasaratnam has published in leading international journals including Applied Economics and Journal of Banking and Finance. She has also previously published in Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, Managerial Finance and Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services. Her research interests include Corporate Governance, Efficiency Measurements and Event Study Methodology.
