I am a Senior Lecturer (Adult Nursing), based at the Buckinghamshire Campus.
My clinical background is from acute adult nursing, mainly from the area of Accident and Emergency, which is my main teaching interest. I have gained experience across a wide range of general nursing including coronary care, orthopaedics, spinal injuries, renal and general medicine.
I have substantive experience in Accident and Emergency, having worked in five different units in London, the South East and the West Midlands. I have worked as a staff nurse, senior staff nurse, charge nurse and emergency nurse practitioner in Accident and Emergency.
Previous to taking on my present post I was a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Accident and Emergency nursing at a university in the Midlands.
My teaching responsibilities include:
I have undertaken a post graduate course in Accident and Emergency Nursing.
My areas of research interest are diverse but include emergency care and management training of nursing staff.
In my free time I enjoy walking in the country side and visiting places of interest.
