Bernadette specializes in children’s nursing, neonatal care and management and leadership, particularly communication, change and collaborative project management.
Qualified
in 1982 as a State Registered Nurse and Sick Children's Nurse, has worked in
specialities at the Royal Pendlebury Children's Hospital and St Mary's Hospital
Neonatal Unit in Manchester
before taking up roles as Sister and Clinical Tutor at the Neonatal Unit at the
Luton & Dunstable Hospital NHS Trust.
In 1991 was appointed Senior
Lecturer at the (now) University
of Bedfordshire.
She has a Certificate in Education (1990) and an MBA in Business Administration (1993) and has contributed to Children’s Home’s research studies.
Bernadette works with practitioners and students to design, deliver and evaluate diploma and degree level pre and post-Registration nursing modules encompassing research appreciation and current professional practice.
