I am a qualified Nurse, and hold a teaching qualification recorded with the NMC. I have over 26 years of experience working in and with the NHS and healthcare education, and have worked in my present post since 1991.
I have experience across Pre-Registration and Post Registration Nursing programmes, and interests in surgical nursing, operating theatres, skills based nursing , professional practice issues and mentor support in practice. My Nursing practice lies within Operating Theatre Nursing, Surgical, Orthopaedic and Trauma work.
Outside of work I am a community governor at a local school, and work to support Hitchin RUFC and Hitchin Tangent in community fundraising projects. I enjoy long walks with my dog when time allows, as well as spending time with my family.
