Viv is a graphic designer who has worked in a range of fields including publishing and editorial, design for print, video, branding, music and public information. She completed an M.A. in Graphic Design at the Royal College of Art and a B.A. in Graphic Design at Brighton University.
In addition to having taught on the Communication Design degree at the Kent Institute of Art and Design she has worked for the London design studio Spin, as a book designer for publishers Mitchell Beazley, a senior designer at Covent Garden creative agency KeeScott, as well as working as a freelance designer and art director.
She has had work published in typography and design annuals Typography Now 2, The Big Book of Typographics, Engaged Magazine video issue, D&AD Annual, in journals Creative Review, Design Week, Creative Technology, International Design and Wired, and video work exhibited at International Literature Fest Kosmopolis and held on archive at the British Artist's Film and Video Collection.Viv also holds a D&AD Yellow Pencil award for work on a multimedia project for a brand of Diesel Jeans.
Her research interests currently lie in illustrative typography and exploring forms of visual writing through type and narrative.
