The Centre also offers Continuing Professional Development opportunities for newly qualified social worker staff, experienced social work practitioners and social care staff interested in acquiring further experience and qualifications.
Lunchtime workshops and seminars are organised across a range of topics, facilitating the dissemination of good practice “keeping social work practice integrated” Jo Cleary.
Practitioners are encouraged to contribute to social work lectures and workshops and are involved in the recruitment of the University’s social work students.
They contribute to the Centre’s fortnightly team meeting giving the students an opportunity to discuss a specific area of practice.
