I work with the Practice Learning Team, which is part of the Social Work Team. Whilst studying here at the University all Social Work students will need to complete 200 days on placement.
I work with the Social Work Team and the Professional Lead for Practice Learning, to co-ordinate the placements.
My role includes identifying placements and matching the student to them. I also make sure all students are CRB checked before commencing placement and that they are registered with the GSCC.
I have contact with the local authorities and the agencies that our students are matched to.
