Dr Lucie Shuker

Research Fellow, Institute of Applied Social Research

Currently I am conducting an evaluation of the Barnardo’s ‘Safe Accommodation Project’. The project is funded by the DfE and aims to address an urgent need for safe accommodation for sexually exploited and/or trafficked young people, through 1-1 support, specialist foster care and the training of local authority foster carers and those that support them. Findings will be reported in 2013.

Beyond this work I supervise undergraduates and a PhD student, organise the National Working Group Research Forum, and conduct field-work for other research projects within the institute including the ‘Motivational Interviewing Evaluation’ (Tilda Goldberg Centre), and ‘Gangs and Sexual Exploitation Project’.
