Abdulmaten Taroun

I am in the last stage of my doctoral program (PhD Business Administration) in the Decision and Cognitive Science Research Centre, Manchester Business School.

The expected award date is July 2012.  I am a member of the Business and Information Systems Research Centre (BISC) at the University of Bedfordshire, and a member of the Project Management Research Group in the Department of Business Systems.

  • MSc Project Management – Heriot-Watt University
  • BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering with specialisation in Construction Project Management ( top-of-class grade) – Al-Baath University, Syria

Teaching Expertise

  • Currently teaching Quality and Risk Management unit in the MSc Project Management course and Foundation of Business Management unit on the BA (Hons) Business Management course
  • Worked as a teaching assistant in Manchester Business School, Strathclyde Business School and the faculty of Civil Engineering in Al-Baath University in Syria

  • Between 2003 and 2006 worked as a construction project manager in a private construction company in Syria
