Chris has been teaching at our institution since University of Bedfordshire used to be a college. He was a Senior Lecturer in various departments, and now belongs to the Division of Business Systems. Chris has completed his BSc (Hons) degree in Statistics at City of London Polytechnic (CNAA). He attained his MPhil degree at London Guildhall University for his work of 'Modeling and Simulation of Industrial Process Plants - A Review'. He is a Chartered Mathematician and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Shortly after his first degree, Chris joined London International College teaching Statistics ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels. The following three years he taught quantitative methods to business students at various Further and Higher Education Colleges including Hackney Technical College, Hammersmith and West London College and British German Vocational Training Centre. Later he joined Luton College of Higher Education as a Lecturer in Mathematics and since then has been involved in Mathematics and Statistics teaching, learning and development.
Chris has completed a preliminary investigation into the statistical relationship linking colour, fluorescence intensity and bitterness of beers for Whitbread plc. He worked in biomedical sector as well. Chris conducted an open and randomised study for head trauma patients’ treatment. He has also provided a short course in statistics for the research staff of the Bio-Products Laboratory (NHS).
