Mike Kennedy is the Academic Director of the Business Systems Department. He is also a Senior Lecturer in e-Business.
He has a BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry from Birmingham University and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
Mike is the owner of a small but specialised international strategic marketing and planning consultancy. His clients have included global IT companies such as Apple, Compaq, Digital, HP IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Northern Telecom and Oftel.
Previously Mike was the Marketing Director of Panorama Office Systems a high tech venture capital start-up (product sales peaked at £10 million). And has held senior marketing, strategic and product planning roles in information systems industries.
Mike has experience of teaching a wide range of business related subjects. At ESCP-EAP European School of Management he taught Marketing to MBA students, ran Company Projects and supervised Masters Dissertations. He has also lectured in Computer Skills and Quantitative Methods at postgraduate level.
At the University of Bedfordshire Mike teaches a wide range of business subjects and has been awarded the Deans Prize for Scholarship in 2008 for being part of the team that developed the innovative Applied Integrated Business course for second year students.
