Profile

Peter Waterhouse, Senior Lecturer

Part of Peter's duties at the University is as a Higher Education Innovation Fellow working on developing links between the University and local businesses through a range of initiatives including short courses, accredited training and CPD courses.

Professional Experience and Educational Background

Peter started his own business in 1975 and over the following fifteen years he developed and expanded this, diversifying into a range of associated enterprises supplying products to land based businesses.

In 1990 he sold off the light engineering and wholesaling business Watson’s Quality Products and took time out as a mature student at Coventry University to study for a BA Business Administration.

On completing this he then went on to attain an MA in Marketing based on research into the adoption of innovation by small specialist enterprises.

Since then he has gained a wide range of experience working with small businesses in a range of sectors seeking creative marketing solutions, including database and e-Marketing solutions.

In 2000 he joined De Montfort University as a full-time lecturer at the department of business in Milton Keynes where he continued his work both in the area of e-Learning and e-Business.

Since moving to the University of Bedfordshire's Bedford campus Peter has developed the final year module Managing e-Business - a module that explores the issues facing entrepreneurs and managers developing e-Business enterprises.
