Dr Yongmei Bentley

Senior Lecturer in Logistics

Dr Yongmei Bentley

I am a senior lecturer in logistics at the University of Bedfordshire, a visiting professor of the University of Yichun, China, and a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK.

Through teaching, research, and other academic and professional activities, I have established extensive contacts with both manufacturers and service organisations, in particular with people specialising in logistics and supply chain businesses, which in return have informed and facilitated teaching and research at the University of Bedfordshire.

Research Projects

  • Have conducted a three-year independent and un-funded research project on how the economic downturn has affected companies’ logistics strategies of different countries, which has led to several publications
  • Have been involved in a number of the University’s research-informed teaching projects related to such courses as MSc Project Management, MBA programme, and MSC Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Have taken an active part in a number of EC-funded research projects working with partners across Europe and from China in areas such as the applications of ICTs, supply-chain management, and the development of e-Learning courses for SMEs
  • Was a project manager for one of the EC funded research projects - Distance Learning for Banking and Accounting
