Vivien Perry

Midwifery Lecturer

vivien-perry130

Following the completion of my midwifery training I worked at Buckinghamshire NHS trust in a variety of clinical roles. Most recently I was a practice development midwife providing training for the multi-disciplinary team.

I am an instructor for the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics programme and for Neonatal Life Support via the UK Resuscitation council.

I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in December 1995. I spent the majority of my nursing career in cardiothoracic intensive care working at Papworth, Oxford and St. Mary’s Hospitals.

During this time I completed an adult intensive care course and a teaching and assessing in clinical practice course. I also have experience in the fields of sexual health, general and orthopaedic surgery.

My aim as a lecturer is to support students to fulfill their dream of becoming a midwife whilst challenging them to become the best midwife that women and their families deserve.
