CIS Technical Support Team

CIS Technical Support Team

In total there are over 300 workstations and servers in 13 laboratories dedicated to the sole use of the department's students.  All labs are supported by the department's own technical support team made up  of  full and part-time staff, including students employed as stewards to support the evening and weekend opening of facilities.

The team is based in offices on each of the floors where the department's facilities are located.

The team's responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining existing facilities
  • Developing new facilities
  • Supporting staff in existing modules
  • Supporting staff in developing new modules
  • Supporting students in their studies
  • Supporting students in their thesis / projects

The team works closely with the University's central support team to ensure a seamless level of support from both central and department services.
