Dr Herbert Daly joined the Department of Computer Science and Technology in September 2009, where he was appointed a Lecturer with special remit for enterprise activity. Before joining the university he worked as a technology professional in areas ranging from software engineering to systems modelling and consulting. He began his career with Nortel Networks, winning a place on their graduate scheme, then worked with software for wireless technologies at various firms before turning towards research. On completing his doctoral work in simulation modelling he returned to industry applying his research to understanding performance and capacity issues in enterprise systems using simulation models.
Herbert began his formal experience of lecturing working for LIBT College while working on his thesis in 2005.
