Dr Shenoy obtained her PhD degree from the University of Hertfordshire in 2010. Her PhD work was on Facial expression recognition. After the completion of her PhD, she then carried out research work in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire. At the same time, she was also a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire and was involved in part-time teaching and in project supervisions.
She obtained her Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication and Master of Technology degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, both from Mangalore University, Karnataka, India. She has an experience of just over 6 years in teaching engineering graduate and post graduate students in India. Dr Shenoy joined the University of Bedfordshire in 2011.
Dr Shenoy was the external examiner for a PhD thesis titled - "Lossless Compression of Mammographic Images using Modified Base Switching Coding Method", Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, India (2011).
