Dr Vasilis Freiderikos

Lecturer in Computer Science & Technology

vasilis

Vasilis Freiderikos graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2002, and in the following year he obtained the M.Res degree in Digital Telecommunications Systems from Telecom ParisTech. In 2009, he received his Ph.D from the University Pierre & Marie Curie (Paris 6) with a thesis entitled “Autonomic Architectures for Home Networks”. This work was financed by, and accomplished in close collaboration with, Orange Labs.

Throughout these years, Vasilis conducted research in the borderline between academia and industry and contributed to several European and French National Research projects.

Dr. Freiderikos joined the department of Computer Science & Technology as a Lecturer in January 2012. Between 2009 and 2011, he was employed as Lecturer and Research Fellow at the University Paris-Dauphine in France, and prior to this, he worked as a part-time lecturer/instructor at the University Paris-Sud 11 for two years.
