Dr Petros Karadimas

Lecturer in Electronic Engineering

Petros KaradimasPetros Karadimas was born in Greece. He completed the Diploma (M.Eng) and Ph.D studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, Greece, in 2002 and 2008, respectively.

In December 2009, he was appointed as a Research Fellow in the Centre for Wireless Network Design (CWIND, now Centre for Wireless Research), Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Bedfordshire, UK and in October 2011, he was appointed as Lecturer in Electronic Engineering in the same Department.

He teaches digital communications (information theory, coding and modulation) and wireless communications and networks (antennas, propagation).

His current research interests include: stochastic and deterministic models for space-time varying wireless channels, multipath scattering in wireless channels via geometric and non-geometric models, MIMO and antenna diversity for wireless communications and path loss and shadowing modeling for wireless communications.

Petros Karadimas participates in the organizing committee of the First International Workshop of Smart Wireless Communications (SWICOM 2012), http://www.beds.ac.uk/swicom
