Karen Wicks

Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator

I began my teaching career in 1985 as a class teacher at a large primary school in Luton and spent one year of my time at the school teaching in the United States on the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Programme.

In 1992 I became Head of Mathematics at a middle school in Bedfordshire and then joined Hertfordshire Local Authority as a Numeracy Senior Strategy Consultant (mathematics) in 1999. I was appointed as a Senior Lecturer at the University in 2006.
