Senior Lecturer in Media Arts
I have taught in Germany, Spain and the USA. At UoB, I started teaching languages and literature but moved to media in 2004, where I teach both at UG and PG levels. My PhD analysed the relationships between postmodern fiction and Hollywood film. I have examined and supervised MA and PhD work. My publication record includes chapters and refereed articles on postmodern literature, contemporary Spanish literature and film, online feminism and television comedy. I have held a wide range of course leadership duties, such as academic director for the undergraduate media programmes, and course leader for Media Practices/Mass Communications. I enjoy organizing extracurricular film events with students.
