Kate Ironside

Lecturer in Journalism

Kate Ironside

I’m a political journalist with 26 years of experience in the industry. I spent 13 years in Parliament covering politics for local papers, regional television, the Daily Express and the BBC. I now combine teaching journalism with my weekly column on Europe for the Western Morning News.

I’m currently overseeing a pilot project reporting politics in Luton which provides students with practical work experience and published by-lines to show to future employers.
