Andrew has taught at the University of Nottingham and, since 2000, here at the University of Bedfordshire. Presently, he teaches units on the English Language Studies undergraduate programme and on the MA Applied Linguistics course.
At the University of Nottingham Andrew's duties involved teaching pre-sessional EAP courses to groups of international students preparing to start post-graduate courses.
He has been involved in EFL teaching across the complete range of levels and age groups, both in L1 and L2 contexts. He has taught in Austria, Italy and the UK.
Andrew has worked at SOAS, University of London, as a lecturer where he taught and managed a course (for postgraduate and undergraduate students) in formal semantics.
