Leszek has been involved with the University of Bedfordshire since 2009. At the beginning he used to deliver short courses in Business English and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) as a visiting lecturer. A year later Leszek gained a permanent position here and presently he teaches MSc Generalist Suite – Communication in Business at postgraduate level and Communication across Cultures. Also, he is involved in delivering a unit in Intercultural Training. Apart from that Leszek is engaged in designing new MSc Hotel and Hospitality Business Management courses at postgraduate degree level.
Leszek has a Certificate in TEFL attained at the University of Bedfordshire in 1998. Later he completed a BA (Hons) degree in ELS with TEFL (English Language Studies with Teaching English as a Foreign Language). In 2009 Leszek graduated with an MA degree in Intercultural Communication which included TP (teaching practice in EFL) at the University of Bedfordshire. At the moment Leszek is preparing himself to start his PhD which the focal point is going to be on the performance of groups formed by members of group-orientated societies.
Leszek managed a hotel as a GM for a number of years. He previously worked as a unit manager, trouble shooter, relieve manager and company trainer for a variety of companies, such as BB’s Coffee and Muffins LTD, BSP Management and Thorntons. Before that he worked as an English language teacher for O.K.Centre of Foreign Languages (Poland) and had to design programmes, materials and deliver ESP (English for Specific Purposes) classes for intermediate, and then higher intermediate classes with very specific subject matter, as his students were NATO pilots.
