Paul Owen
Communication Skills Co-ordinator
English Language Teaching (ELT) Lecturer
As a co-ordinator of Communication Skills, I have developed our promotional materials and activities, co-ordinated the Plenary Lecture Programme, and resourced new content as well as mentored colleagues.
I am an enthusiastic, DELTA-qualified English language teacher who has taught on a range of pre-sessional courses at UoB, since 2005. Previously, I owned a small English language school in Carrara, Italy, and worked in further education, teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Humanities.
Outside work I am the proud father of three beautiful children with whom I enjoy all things Italian; and a passionate supporter of the bluest and greatest football team in Manchester.
