Collecting your TELAS results

You can normally get your results from Room H002d in Luton Business School (Vicarage St Campus) within 2 days of taking the test, but please be patient. With big numbers of students, we may need a little more time to grade the papers.

The Administrator will issue you with a TELAS Certificate for you to show University Admissions.

What the TELAS results mean

TELAS is not a test that you pass or fail. Rather, it is a diagnostic test that reports your performance on a scale. If you are a borderline candidate, you may be invited to take a speaking test.

Grade 5
Sorry! We don't have a course for you. Improve your English at a school with elementary classes, and we'll be happy to test you again another time.
Grade 4a
You can begin a four semester English Course starting at Pre-Intermediate level.
Grade 4b
You can begin a three semester English Course starting at Intermediate level.
Grade 3a
You can begin a two semester International Foundation Course starting at Higher Intermediate level or you can do a 4 year extended degree.
Grade 3b
You can begin a one semester International Foundation Course at Advanced level or you can do a 4 year extended degree.
Grade 2
You can start your chosen University course but we strongly recommended you also follow some EAP (English for Academic Purposes) support.
Grade 1
You can start your chosen University course and you may wish to follow some EAP support.
