Tariq Khan is a senior Lecturer and a qualified Barrister at
Law of Lincoln’s Inn. Tariq is also the Academic Director of the Law
Postgraduate programme within the School.
Tariq’s specialism lies in procedural law. He has responsibility for teaching on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in law as well as supervising research within his specialist field.
Tariq is also responsible for the Law Advice Clinic run by the Student Law Society in association with the School of Law offering legal advice and assistance to students.
In his capacity as a Barrister Tariq appears in court proceedings. As the Director of the Postgraduate programme Tariq is responsible for the administration and the management of the three main Masters Programmes run within the School of Law- LLM International Commercial Law; LLM Islamic Commercial Law and MSc Islamic Banking and Finance.
Tariq has teaching responsibilities on the undergraduate and
postgraduate programmes. On the undergraduate LLB programme Tariq teaches
Criminal law to year 1 students, Advance Criminal Law and Alternative Dispute
Resolution to year 2 and Law of Evidence to final year 3 students.
On the postgraduate programmes Tariq teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution and Research Methods Tariq is also a supervisor of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects within his specialist area.
Tariq is currently undertaking a PhD in Arbitration.
