Elizabeth is a Senior Lecturer
in Marketing and Strategy, shared between Marketing department, and Strategy and
HRM department. She has been with the University of Bedfordshire since 2005.
Besides being responsible for programmes at the University, she also is a Module Leader for
Marketing Management for UK Executive MBA and MBA’s in Krakow and Zurich as well as a Module Leader for
Strategy for UK Executive MBA and MBA’s in Krakow and Delhi.
Elizabeth's philosophy of work is that it should be enjoyable and that there should always be new challenges and new things to learn. After having a large package of experience, now she believes she has the opportunity to build a whole new set of skills and expertise in teaching.
She enjoys applying her knowledge of business to improve the experience of students in her classes. Elizabeth hopes that they will also find that learning and business are stimulating and enjoyable.
Elizabeth has a first class degree in Philosophy, Politics and
Economics from Oxford University, an MBA from Cranfield School of
Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice at the University of Bedfordshire.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Elizabeth
has 25 years of experience in marketing and strategy. She was Group Strategy Director of a small
packaging PLC, where she handled acquisitions and divestments.
At Imerys, the world’s largest supplier of white industrial minerals, she developed the global strategy for supplying the paint industry and was based in Asia looking at acquisitions and joint ventures.
Earlier in her career she worked in consumer and business to business marketing in the paint industry and as director of a communications consultancy.
Winner of the 2007 Dean’s Prize for Scholarship for the development of the new Level 1 curriculum.
