Linda Deigh is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship in the Business School. Prior to joining this university, she lectured at the University of Greenwich, London.
She is a Chartered Marketer, with a Masters in International Business, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education.
Linda is the Course Manager for Undergraduate Advertising & Marketing Communications Programme in the Business School. She also coordinates and teaches on various Marketing Communications related courses with specific focus on Public Relations. Linda is currently working on her doctorate programme researching on Corporate Social Responsibility in emerging economies and its relationship with marketing communication strategies.
Linda is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Before embarking on an academic career, Linda worked in Marketing with a publishing company, Current Drugs Ltd (now part of Thomson Group) in 1994 where she developed and coordinated marketing communications campaigns from strategy to implementation.
In 2001, she became a Marketing Consultant with Royal & Sun Alliance PLC in London, where she provided consulting services for numerous e-Commerce initiatives and start-up projects such as rightmove.co.uk, and >More Than. She consulted on online knowledge development and management projects for clients and worked on internal communications projects across the company.
Linda volunteers her time as a Panel Assessor and Adviser with non-profit organisations for start-up businesses and projects looking for funding. She is also currently Board Director for a New Deal for Communities Trust in East of England.
