Performing Arts and English staff and students
The project aims to create a performance archive of student work, which is accessible to both staff and students. The use of the archive will support students to reflect upon and use feedback from staff to develop their skills and improve performance. It will also enable students to develop a portfolio of work, enhancing employability.
The aims of the project is thus to produce a physical DVD archive of student performance work for staff, and a sustainable online archive for students.
In order to maintain the archive, the costs that are incurred shall be offset by pay-per-download videos. This enables students to download the videos they require at a low cost, equivalent to that of the original student price for the public performance (£3.00).
The project will then source feedback from the staff and students involved and will work to develop and enhance the archive based on these comments. A conference paper will be produced, to be presented at the University of Bedfordshire Research informed Teaching symposium planned for June 2010.
