An evaluation of measures put in place to prepare Interior Architecture and Interior Design Students to work collaboratively with Contemporary Theatre Practice students

Project Summary

The evaluation of a pilot scheme designed to support a collaborative set design and performance project involving Interior Architecture, Interior Design and Contemporary Theatre Practice Students.

Outcomes

The project team aim to co-write a research paper and present it at a University Symposium Event scheduled for Friday 25th June 2010. They also intend to present this paper at one or more other forums at which the pedagogy of collaborative learning is discussed.

As was mentioned above, the project team have experience of collaborative work between Spatial Design and Animation students, between Spatial Design students and tutors from the Division of Media Arts and Production and of set design projects co-run with the late Paul Bannister. The project team intends to use the results of this research to strengthen and expand considerably their work with these other disciplines, and to build a body of collaborative expertise which supports extensive further research.
