Research Interests
My research interests include: sports fandom and gender; the sociology of football and rugby union, especially in relation to fan culture; comparative research in sports fandom; gender, sport and leisure; sports involvement and structural issues of gender, class, age and ethnicity; and sport and family relations. My research interests are interdisciplinary in nature, incorporating sociology, leisure studies, socio-historical perspectives on sport, physical education and sports geography.
