Senior Lecturer in Primary English
I joined the University in January 2009. Currently I teach on the Primary PGCE and Primary BEd. 
Programmes. I am also a GTP tutor and I organise the Leading Partners in Literacy programme.
I have held a variety of senior management positions in schools including head of department and Deputy Head teacher. I completed my MA in 2004 centered around speaking and listening for pupils with English as an additional language. I particularly enjoyed exploring the impact of my studies on practice through an action research approach.
I became an advisory teacher for English in Bedfordshire in 2001. In 2006 I attained my NPQH which has assisted in my knowledge of leadership and management in schools.
My research interests are centered around the teaching and learning of English. I have just completed my PgCap with an action research project centered around early reading.
